IPSA Medical offers standard surgery consultations that last for up to 30 minutes. This extended appointment time allows for your skilled IPSA Medical clinicians to offer superior medical care, with more than enough time for you to talk through your medical concerns.
Your IPSA Medical clinic’s surgery has extended opening hours so that we can support your busy life; IPSA Medical has evening, weekend, same-day and late-night appointments.
If you are unable to attend your IPSA Medical surgery, then IPSA Medical also offers over-the-phone consultations; sometimes, however, face-to-face consultations might be required for a full diagnosis.
IPSA Medical appointments are available for those clients who are holidaying in the area, who might be looking for a second opinion, or for those who are looking for a more urgent appointment than they can get with their current NHS GP. Our policy at IPSA Medical is that you will always see the same IPSA Medical doctor, as we believe this creates a more comfortable experience for you because your IPSA Medical clinician will be aware of your specific medical needs and your medical history.

What happens if I need to cancel my IPSA Medical appointment?

To avoid missed appointment fees, IPSA Medical asks that you inform your IPSA Medical clinic a minimum of four hours before your appointment time if you cannot make your appointment. For IPSA Medical’s home visit service, this incurs a 50% charge of the fee. IPSA Medical appreciates how events can sometimes make it impossible for you to attend your booked appointments, and in those instances, the fees are charged at IPSA Medical’s discretion.

IPSA Medical: Home visits

IPSA Medical offers a home visit service for clients living within a 15-mile radius of both of IPSA Medical’s surgeries. Home visits are arranged at your IPSA Medical clinic’s discretion.

Your IPSA Medical clinic’s specialities

Your IPSA Medical clinic regularly handles minor accidents/emergencies, minor surgical procedures, and deals with family planning, dermatology, gynaecology and paediatrics, as well as seeing general practice patients.
IPSA Medical has a policy of total confidentiality. With conducive, clean and comfortable clinics, and our standard client-centred consultations of up to 30 minutes, our highly skilled IPSA physicians have the time to properly understand and discuss your health concerns with you.

IPSA Medical’s referrals to private specialists

After having your IPSA Medical consultation, if your IPSA Medical clinician determines you would benefit from a specialist referral, he/she will then direct you, because we have good knowledge of and access to a large network of private consultants.
If you require further tests, IPSA Medical has direct connections into hospitals where further investigations (e.g. X-rays, colonoscopies, MRIs, endoscopies and other kinds of medical imaging) can be carried out.

Will IPSA Medical work with my current NHS GP?

IPSA Medical provides a totally confidential service. If you do wish for your IPSA Medical clinician to liaise with your NHS GP and you give your full consent for this, then we will work with your NHS GP.
